Project Description:

Our involvement was through direct appointment via UCLH framework. The project objective was to remodel and refurbish the existing Tynemouth Road Medical Practice. On the interiors, the initial scope included creating new office spaces, replacement of flooring, taking down of various wall features, redecorating walls, modifications to electricals and plumbing services and development of new reception areas. On the exteriors, the project scope included designing and building of a new lift, a facelift for the main entrance gate and designing and building of a new information totem on the outside of the building all of which required planning permission. 

During the project, additional scope was added by the client which included upgrading of fire alarm system, emergency lighting, fire door remedial works and fire stopping works.  The transfer date for childcare services was fixed and hence, the delivery of the interior works was under tight schedule. To deliver all the requirements within a live site and still maintain the BAU of the medical practice, we worked to a phased program in close coordination with the clinical staff.
